Search on for Gilford High senior

GILFORD – Nicole Bacon was 50 feet away from home Friday night, but never made it. Where she went is still not known and that has her family in a frantic search for the 17-year-old Gilford High School senior.

Barbara Bacon said her daughter was coming home from drama practice when the parents of a friend dropped her off at the end the driveway that leads to the home where she lived with her grandmother, Cynthia Sargent.

Nicole, however, never went inside the house and was reportedly seen walking in the opposite direction about a half-hour later.

She was wearing loose black pants and a black-hooded sweatshirt. She is described as 5-foot-6, slender with short auburn colored hair and a fair complexion.

"I am very worried," Barbara Bacon said. "She took no coat and it's cold out."

According to her mother, Nicole Bacon has lived with her grandmother since July after living in group homes for the previous two years.

Barbara Bacon learned her daughter had recently stopped taking Prozac, which was proscribed to treat depression. She said Nicole went missing two years ago after stopping her medication. She was found 23 hours later at a friend's house.

"She had been doing quite well for the last three months," Barbara Bacon said. "Then her behavior kind of changed in the last two, three weeks."
