Mike Richardson was not legally drunk when he was fatally shot during an altercation with Breckenridge police, according to results from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office in Fort Worth.
In an article in the Friday, Feb. 20 Abilene Reporter-News written by Celinda Emison and Daralyn Schoenwald, toxicology results indicated that Richardson’s blood alcohol content level was .053, below .08, the legal limit for intoxication in Texas.
The results also indicated that Richardson had citalopram, an antidepressant known by the brand name Celexa, in his system. The level was not considered remarkable.

Sgt. Shane Morrow of the Texas Rangers continues to investigate the shooting.
