The Washington State Director of the International Coalition for Drug Awareness received correspondence from a reporter who covered the story. The reporter confirmed that bottles of medication, including Celexa, were found among the perpetrator's personal effects.

Accused killer was N.C. Guard recruit

The 19-year-old accused of killing his father and later injuring two students during a school shooting in North Carolina was a recruit with the state’s National Guard, officials said Thursday .

Pvt. Alvaro Rafael Castillo had pipe bombs and weapons in his van when he was arrested Aug. 30 in front of Orange High School. One student was grazed by a bullet while the other was injured by flying glass, according to the Associated Press. When he was arrested, Castillo told Orange County sheriff deputies that he killed his father, the AP reported. Castillo’s father, Rafael Huezo Castillo, was found shot to death in the family’s home in Hillsborough.

Castillo joined the Guard in 2004 as a cook, according to the North Carolina Guard. He completed basic training in August 2005 at Fort Sill, Okla., but before he was to ship to AIT in May 2006, officials determined Castillo was medically disqualified for military service.

Guard officials began his out-processing immediately and he never deployed as a member of the North Carolina Guard, officials said.
