A DRUNKEN man kicked out at members of the public who were trying to calm him down.
Wesley Woodcraft, 27, had been out for a few drinks but had not taken his medication for depression, Flintshire Magistrates’ Court, Mold, was told.
Woodcraft, of Powell Road, Buckley, admitted a charge of being drunk and disorderly following the incident in Mold High Street on the night of December 21.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge.
Matthew Ellis, prosecuting, said police were called to outside The Griffin pub to a report of a man behaving aggressively.
They found Woodcraft being restrained on the floor outside the pub.
Due to his injuries, an ambulance was called but he had to be handcuffed because of his demeanour while being given first aid.
Several members of the public tried to calm him down but he kicked out at them, struggled and shouted.
A lady tried to speak to him but he spat in her direction and was shouting incoherently.

“He met two people in the pub who had given him a hard time in school and in work and that resulted in him being somewhat aggressive,” he added.
