Martinez was seized in a motel room after escaping from Oxnard City Jail two days earlier, according to a police report.<br />SOURCE: - Daily News<br /><br />Chamber to spotlight on local businesses<br /><br />SIMI VALLEY - The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to present a quarterly showcase for local businesses tonight at the Mountain Gate Shopping Plaza, officials said.<br /><br />Representatives from 30 businesses are expected to have table-top exhibits, detailing their products and services, between 5 and 7 p.m. in the plaza&#39;s center court.<br /><br />The plaza is on the northeast corner of Los Angeles Avenue and First Street. For more information, call (805) 526-5599.<br />SOURCE: - Daily News<br /><br />Three arrested; drugs, guns seized<br /><br />SIMI VALLEY - Three people were arrested and a large quantity of marijuana and several weapons were seized about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when Ventura County Sheriff&#39;s Department narcotics officers raided a home on the 2000 block of Guerne Street in Simi Valley, authorities said.<br /><br />Sgt. <strong>Gary</strong> Pentis said two men and a woman were arrested on charges of possession of marijuana for sale and cultivation of marijuana, both felonies.
