• Scott Gardner, 35, of Fairbanks, was charged with driving under the influence after he rear ended a car stopped at a traffic light at the corner of the Johansen Expressway and Danby Street on March 23.
Fairbanks Police found Gardner asleep in his car at the Sourdough gas station near the scene of the accident at 4:51 p.m.
Gardner told police he had not been drinking but had taken prescription medications Lithium and Paxil, both depressants.
He registered a breath-alcohol content of 0.000.
A drug recognition exam determined Gardner was too impaired to drive.
