A WARNING has been sent out by a coroner after a mum-of-two died suddenly.

Edward Thomas presided an inquest into the death of a 31-year-old WGC woman who died at home in November.

He heard that she had been at a family celebration following news that her brother had a new job and had drunk a few glasses of wine during the evening.

The woman, who was suffering from a chest infection and had a history of asthma, had also taken therapeutic levels of anti-depressants and sleeping tablets.

The next morning she was found dead in her bedroom, by her niece who tried to wake her.

A post mortem revealed that she died of cardiac and respiratory failure.

Mr Thomas told Hatfield Coroner's Court last Wednesday: "We have got quite a high alcohol level with therapeutic levels of the antidepressants and sleeping tablets.

"It was the combination of all three with the background of asthma that led to her death."

He said that people should heed the warnings on prescription medicines.

He added: "If you are taking these drugs, you shouldn't be drinking."

The death was recorded as accidental.
