Honeymoon murder-accused Shrien Dewani was arrested following a "heated discussion" with another patient at Priory mental hospital in the UK, the Mail Online reported yesterday.

The argument apparently started after the British businessman had an adverse reaction to his antidepressants, the publication said.

According to the report, Dewani's reaction caused him to be "loud and noisy".

There was no fight at the hospital in Bristol where Dewani was on bail pending his extradition hearing.

But a close source told the Mail Online that he got into a heated discussion with a female resident, who was taunting him and saying: "You should go back to South Africa."

Police did not comment on whether Dewani, 31, attacked or was attacked by anyone.

A judge ruled on Monday that Dewani, accused of arranging a hit on his wife, Anni, while on honeymoon in Cape Town, be transferred to Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke in Somerset.

This was after his psychiatrist said he believed Dewani had suffered an adverse reaction to antidepressants. Dewani was already on bail at Priory Hospital before the court ordered the transfer
