[01/11/2008 11:10, TALR, 72] Rhew 158 On 01/11/08 at 0831hrs, I was on patrol for the city of Sherman, in marked patrol unit #260, traveling south bound on Texoma Pk in the 2200 block. I observed a white Oldsmobile traveling southbound in the left lane in front of me. I observed the vehicle fail to signal and cut across a solid white line to enter a left turn lane at Peyton. The vehicle turned left onto Peyton and I initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle for the traffic offense. The vehicle pulled over and I contacted the driver. The driver did not have a valid driver`s license and could not provide proof of insurance for the vehicle. The driver was issued citation and advised that the vehicle would be towed for no insurance. I know that the front right passenger is the owner of the vehicle from previous contacts. The driver and owner both gave verbal consent to search the vehicle before being towed. I located a beer can under the front driver`s seat that had been modified to smoke narcotics. The owner of the vehicle was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and two outstanding Sherman PD warrants. No further information. Spd Wrts X 2

Robbery [01/11/2008 23:40, TRENTP, 130] Painter 222 On 1-11-08 at 2144hrs., I, Painter 222 and FTO Mullen 189 were dispatched to the 1300blk of S Elm in reference to a robbery. While enroute to the location of the call, we were advised by dispatch that the complainant was enroute to the Sherman PD. At 2153hrs, we arrived at the Sherman PD to take the report. When the complainant arrived at the station, I observed the injuries of the complaint, a white male. Injuries consisted of swollen upper and lower lips with blood visible. The victim also had a red and swollen area on the right side of his head just under the hairline. The victim stated he had seen a friend, the suspect, at a gas station located on the corner of King and Walnut. The suspect, invited him to his apartment to drink some beer. The victim agreed, and followed the suspect to an apartment located at the 900 block of S Travis. At the location, the victim advised an unknown black male offered to sell the victim crack cocaine. The victim refused to purchase the drugs. The victim stated he was attacked and hit in the mouth and head several times by the suspect. While on the ground, the suspect went through the victim`s pockets and took approximately twenty dollars in cash. After initiating a report, the victim determined he no longer wished to file charges against the suspect.
