CASSELBERRY, Fla. -- An 35-year-old Casselberry woman is charged with torching her own home while her kids were inside.

Officials say no one was hurt in Wednesday's arson fire. They say the two children ran from the burning house, while one called 911 to say his mother had set the place ablaze.

Seminole County investigators say suspect Santina Facchini Ammaturo has a history of mental illness. She's being held without bond, accused of arson to an occupied structure and two counts of aggravated child abuse.

Ammaturo's 11-year-old son says his mother spread gasoline in the house and then touched it off.

Family members told police that Ammaturo had been depressed and was placed on medication, WKMG-TV in Orlando reported. She also told her children that they would "go to heaven," family members said.

The children were turned over to their father, who also lived in the house. He wasn't home when the fire broke out.
