He was arrested in his parked van across the street.<br /><br />According to testimony at his preliminary hearing in federal court Wednesday, police found a half dozen empty beer containers in the van.<br /><br />Shoup&#39;s attorney says his client was recently released from Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services, suffers from chronic depression and had stopped taking medication.<br /><br />After his arrest, Shoup reportedly told police he intended to commit suicide by setting himself on fire inside his van in the hope he could detonate a propane tank he had with him.<br /></font>&nbsp;
