FBI: deputy shooting suspect may be in East Tenn.

KNOXVILLE (WATE) -- The FBI is warning drivers in Knoxville to be on the lookout for a man accused in a fatal shooting of Caldwell County, North Carolina deputies last week.

Investigators say Skip Brinkley, 32, of South Carolina, shot two deputies on September 19. One died.

The FBI says Brinkley may be in East Tennessee. He goes by some aliases including Larry Wayne Brucke, Larry Wayne Brucke, Jr.

Brinkley served in the military in the past and in law enforcement.

He's described as 5'9" and around 185 pounds with dark blond hair and green eyes. He also has a scar above one of his ankles.
