Investigators believe Friday`s incident where a Hawkins County man killed his mother and himself is a murder suicide.
Police say the son, Ronald G. White, died from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
His father, James White, who was shot in the face, survived, and remains hospitalized in stable condition.
Investigators have determined Ronald White was not taking his prescription drugs, and had become depressed.
