Braxton Miller's mother was arrested and charged with felonious assault for punching a police officer, police said.

Kelly Miller is accused of the crime just hours after her star football player son decided to play at Ohio State University.

The Wayne High School quarterback was the headline in many communities Thursday when he committed to play football for the buckeyes.

Police said that Miller’s daughter, Bailey, told them that she was repeatedly struck by her mom and she said that her mom assaulted her father Kevin and brother Braxton.

Braxton told officers he was at the house but would not say anything else.

Relatives told investigators that Kelly was on medication for depression and was possibly abusing or misusing the medication.

Police said they took Kelly to the hospital and according to the police report it states that she was grabbing a pen and when the officer grabbed Kelly and she swung with her right hand, striking the officer in the face.

The report also states that she continued to struggle and tried to spit on and bite the officer.

Kelly was subdued and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.
