RIVERSIDE ---- An Orange County man pleaded guilty Friday to killing his mother-in-law more than a year ago at a Murrieta nursing home, according to court records.
Richard Grant Lloyd, 41, pleaded guilty to one count of voluntary manslaughter in the death of 65-year-old Marilyn Mae Fisher of Canyon Lake. According to Riverside County Superior Court records, Lloyd will receive a sentence of 11 years in state prison.

According to state law, voluntary manslaughter is the unlawful taking of a human life upon a sudden quarrel or in the heat of passion.
Neither prosecutor Mike Rushton or Lloyd's attorney, Steven Harmon, could be reached for comment late Thursday.
Fisher ---- who was an Alzheimer's patient ---- was found dead Dec. 12 at Beverly Healthcare on Monroe Avenue in Murrieta, a skilled nursing facility where she lived. Lloyd had been there visiting his mother-in-law when he called 911 just after midnight to report her murder, Murrieta police said.
Lloyd, who lived in Santa Ana, told officers that he had killed Fisher and that he needed to be arrested and wanted an attorney, police said at the time.
A coroner's autopsy indicated Fisher's died as a result of suffocation.
Detectives stated that Lloyd's wife ---- the victim's daughter ---- told police that her husband had been taking antidepressant medication for the last eight years and that Lloyd suffered "a mental breakdown" while in Bakersfield on Dec. 9, just two days before the homicide.
Police also found that Lloyd had been depressed and believed the terrorist acts of Sept. 11 were Biblical signs of the end of the world.
Following the attacks of Sept. 11, Lloyd ---- who worked at a computer software company in Santa Ana ---- refused to fly when business took him to Northern California, detectives said.
