 Summary:<br><br><div><font size="3">Paragraph 3 reads:&nbsp; <strong>&quot;According to court documents, Green, <u>who takes the anti-depressant drug Prozac,</u> drank more than a quart of homemade wine that made him &#39;flip.&#39;&quot;<br /><br /><br /></strong>______________________________________________________________________________________<br />INMATE SAYS `HOOTCH&#39; MADE HIM ATTACK NURSE<br />Plain Dealer, The (Cleveland, OH)<br />March 7, 1997<br />Author: STEPHEN HUDAK PLAIN DEALER REPORTER <br />Estimated printed pages: 1 <br /><img src="../images.newsbank.com/infoweb/agg/shim.gif" alt="[]" width="1" height="1" /> <br /><br />An inmate from Cleveland has blamed an assault on a prison nurse and a state corrections officer on the &quot;homemade hooch&quot; he drank in prison.<br /><br />Hillman Green, 39, who has been in prison since 1985 on a series of armed robberies and assaults, is charged with two <strong>felony</strong> counts of assault. <br /><br />According to court documents, Green, who takes the anti-depressant drug <strong>Prozac</strong>, drank more than a quart of homemade wine that made him &quot;flip.&quot;<br /><br />After a guard noticed he was drunk March 22, 1996, Green was taken in handcuffs to the medical building at Lorain Correctional Institution in Grafton.<br /><br />Nurse Darlene Drwall turned her back momentarily and Green sprang from his chair, threw his handcuffed arms around her and began to squeeze.<br /><br />&quot;I will kill her, I will kill her,&quot; witnesses quoted him saying.<br /><br />Green has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity and has been moved from Lorain Correctional to the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville.<br /><br />Prison officials were not available yesterday to explain how Green was able to obtain the prohibited substance at the Lorain County prison.<br /><br />He told Trooper James Wernecke, who investigates prison crimes, that he bought the homemade intoxicant from another inmate for five packs of cigarettes, according to court documents.<br /><br />But he said he couldn&#39;t remember from whom.<br /><br />The court documents said the nurse was bruised on her arms and legs and missed three days of work because of the assault.
