Authorities, stationed outside the building, said they would act after the effects of the drugs wore off.<br /><br />Police blocked Post between Jones and Hyde streets and Leavenworth Street between Geary and Sutter streets after the threat was reported about 5:30 p.m. The presence of 40 officers and two dozen patrol cars held up the evening commute traffic for hours.<br /><br />By late last night, the police presence had been reduced to about 20 officers.
