The Hampden County District Attorney's office has released many new details about shooting at a Wilbraham condominium complex two weeks ago.
District Attorney William Bennett says condo owner Ronald Duval-- the first time he's been officially identified-- will not face criminal charges.
We're also learning that the intruder, David Gatti, grabbed a wine glass, broke, and used it to threaten the homeowner. Duval used his licensed handgun to try to persuade Gatti to leave, but when he started upstairs, where Duval's wife was taking a shower, he shot him in the leg. When Gatti kept going, he shot him in the chest, the fatal shot.
Gatti's parents showed up at the scene of the May 7th shooting and told police their son was depressed, delusional, and on medication.
