Coroner: Judge's death a suicide

The Warren County Coroner has ruled the May 24 death of a judge a suicide.

Judge James Heath died from "multiple drug intoxication," Coroner Russell Uptegrove said today.

The judge had very high levels of two prescription medicines -- hydrocodone, a painkiller; and Citalopram, an antidepressant also known as Celexa, Uptegrove said.

The judge also had a blood-alcohol level of about 0.12, over Ohio's legal limit for motorists, 0.08.

The two prescription drugs alone, however, were taken in doses more than high enough to be lethal, Uptegrove said.
