CALGARY/AM770CHQR - The man charged in a fatal hit and run near Southcentre Mall, which killed a 20 year old woman, has taken the stand to testify in his own defence.
Colin Jones testified he has no memory of how he got from the Rose and Crown Pub in Mission to his home in Maple Ridge on March 17th, 2005.
He says he has no memory of hitting Lindsay Giacomelli, and doesn't recall why he'd be driving home on Bonaventure Drive when his normal route would have taken him on other roads.
The 49-year-old testified he wasn't taking his medication for depression that week, and was emotionally a mess going through a separation with his wife.
The defence claims Jones did run over Giacomelli, but he didn't have the intent.
