Summary:

Paragraph three reads:  "Unbeknownst to you, approximately an hour earlier my daughter had a heated argument with her boyfriend and took a serious overdose, emptying a bottle of her prescribed antidepressant in an attempted suicide. After previous repeated warnings to her boyfriend that she is suicidal, and after she threw the empty bottle at him, he didn't believe her and left her alone in the parking lot. This was all unknown to us until he contacted us at 10 p.m. to see if she came home. He never once reported the incident to anyone."

Dear Good Samaritan,

On Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 4:49 p.m. a 911 call was placed from the Great Mall parking lot in Milpitas near McDonald's.

You found my daughter face down in the dirt, unconscious, having seizures with an elevated heart rate.

Unbeknownst to you, approximately an hour earlier my daughter had a heated argument with her boyfriend and took a serious overdose, emptying a bottle of her prescribed antidepressant in an attempted suicide. After previous repeated warnings to her boyfriend that she is suicidal, and after she threw the empty bottle at him, he didn't believe her and left her alone in the parking lot. This was all unknown to us until he contacted us at 10 p.m. to see if she came home. He never once reported the incident to anyone.

We finally found my daughter at 1 a.m. Wednesday morning... still very unstable, but ALIVE!

She is now stable and has been transferred to another hospital for treatment and will have a long road to recovery, both mentally and emotionally.

Words cannot express my gratitude to you for saving her life. If it were not for you she would not have lived.

You will never know the amount of gratitude I will always and forever carry in my heart for you.

You saved her life.

May you always be blessed for your wonderful act of kindness.

Thank you with all my heart.
